Entry #1 Road Runner Hello everyone, my name is Kyler McQueen, and I am a first-year student-athlete at Glendale Community College. Whenever I am outside of the classroom or not doing my homework, you can find me running circles at the Matt O. Hanhila Field. I am a part of the schools' track and field team. My events are the 400m dash and the 4x4 relay. These two events are considered one of the most gruesome the sport has to offer. Image Source T he 400 is a strategic run that does not heavily rely on speed as you are nearly sprinting the entire length of the track. The key to running the 400 is to maintain a fast relaxed pace for the majority of the run until you meet the last 120-meter mark. As you get closer and closer to the mark you want to start building up speed using the momentum off of the last curve.
