How to Enhance your Everyday Life

Blog Entry #8 - How to Enhance your Everday Life.

Many people think of stretching as something only athletes do to warm up or recover from a hard workout. The truth is, stretching benefits far beyond that. From flexibility to improving posture, incorporating a stretching routine into your daily routine can help your overall well-being. In this blog post we will be discussing why.

Stretching is most commonly known for improving flexibility, gradually lengthening muscles and tendons increasing your bodies range of motion. Improving your flexibility can help ease everyday task and reduce the risk of injury when doing physical activities.

Hunchbacks can be an unsavory appearance. As a college student leaning over a desk most of the time, maintaining good posture for a long period of time can be challenging. Having poor posture can cause muscle tightness and stiffness which also contributes to other issues like back and neck pains. Stretching is able to counteract these effects releasing tension build up and issues proper muscle alignment much similar to how it helps with flexibility.

Another benefit from stretching is that it promotes blood circulation. Having a healthy blood circulation is crucial for the body as it delivers oxygen and nutrients to the body's tissues. Doing passive stretches can make the arteries more flexible and able to dilate

Stretching does not only pretrain to athletes or other highly active individuals. It is an essential practice that we all should try in incorporate into our daily regimes. Whether you stretch in the morning, afternoon, or before you go to bed, continue to do it until it becomes a habit for you. In the end, your body will thank you for it.

  1. What's up Kyler!
It's awesome you picked a topic that encourages self maintenance on a casual level. That it's not just for athletes. I've been getting into yoga a lot more lately and have recognized a drastic difference in how I feel throughout the day and even how I sleep and feel when I wake up. No more stiffness the first hour being awake anymore. Loved the little bits of anatomy in there too. Thanks for the read.
